Join CSI East Bay-Oakland and AIA East Bay for a virtual symposium: “Finish Failures“. The Symposium is a great opportunity for construction industry professionals to gain a thorough understanding of real life examples of construction failures, the lessons learned, and how to ensure your own projects avoid them.

The Symposium will take place over two days of morning sessions, with the option to attend both days, or to choose a single day to attend, all from the comfort of your own home via our virtual platform. Attendees can earn 4 LU / 4 HSW AIA Continuing Education credits by attending both days. 

COST FOR EVENT:

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19TH

 

10:00 AM: Paint Failures | Stacie Anderson LaGrange, Rose Garrison & Ken Hogben | Benjamin Moore Paints

Description: Participants will be educated on failures of paints and coatings by Panel Discussion with industry representatives, and how to meet local health requirements for protection of applicators and the public.

Stacie Anderson LaGrange has been with Benjamin Moore since 2011 in a variety of roles throughout Northern California. She is a Certified Coating Technician through MPI and a NACE Level 1 Coatings Inspector. 

 

11:15 AM: Tile & Stone Failures | Rich Galliani, Licensed Tile Contractor | Technical Director. TSC Northern California 

Description: Participants will note tile and stone failures in exterior walls by failing installation methods creating safety hazards. New standards by the Tile & Stone Council of Northern CA.

Rich Galliani started his career as a tile contractor in 1979 with Galliani Tile Company, which was founded by his father. He’s a 1986 graduate of University of San Francisco with a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration. Galliani has been a licensed C-54 tile contractor since the 1990s and a B-1 general building contractor since 2000. He is ACT certified for mortar walls and floors, membranes, shower pans and large-format tile.
