You’re invited to join CSI East Bay-Oakland for our September chapter meeting, featuring a presentation by Douglas Keys, AIA, CSI CCS. The presentation will give us “A Look Inside West Kowloon Station, Hong Kong”.
Following the presentation session, the chapter will be holding our annual award presentations.
About the presentation:
Completed in 2018 and currently closed due to Covid-related travel restrictions, this 4-million square foot station for high-speed rail service linking Hong Kong and mainland China is located adjacent to Hong Kong’s new 100-acre arts district, the West Kowloon Cultural District. In this presentation we’ll take a tour around and through the station and see how the planned 50,000 passengers each day experience the surrounding city, the station, and their journeys.
Douglas Keys, AIA, CSI CCS is a senior architect with WSP USA focusing on transportation facilities. Douglas was previously employed by Aedas in Hong Kong as a senior architect on the design of West Kowloon Station during the construction documents phase.
